So che può essere una stravagante teoria. Ma voglio provare a esporvela. Quando pedali e stai qualche ora (nel mio caso tante) sulla sella, a mio avviso ogni singolo dettaglio ha la sua importanza per tenere alto il livello motivazionale. Ma provo spiegarmi ancora meglio: ….quando sono appoggiato al manubrio della mia bici guardo ovviamente sempre davanti i panorami, ma ogni tanto il focus visivo passa anche anche alle mie gambe, gli shorts e soprattutto calzette e scarpe. Fibers
Polypropylene (socks): Polypropylene is the lightest of all bers and is lighter than water. It is 34% lighter than polyester and 20% lighter than nylon. It provides more bulk and warmth for less weight. Polypropylene bers retain more heat for a longer period of time, have excellent insulative properties and combined with its hydrophobic nature keeps wearer dry and warm. Warmer than wool. Polypropylene is hydrophobic and will not absorb water in the bre. Water wicks away from the skin and through the fabric to the face for quick evaporation. Resistant to bacteria and micro-organisms, like other synthetic bers – nylon, acrylic and polyester – polypropylene bers are not attacked by bacteria or micro-organisms; they are also moth-proof and rot-proof and are inherently resistant to the growth of mildew and mold. Recyclable, ecologically friendly.
Dryarn® is an innovative polypropylene micro ber that guarantees high performance even in extreme environments of use. It is more breathable than polyester, more insulating than wool and lighter than any other bre. Dryarn is the perfect partner for athletes who subject their bodies to stress, profuse perspiration, frequent and sudden changes in temperature during sporting activities. This ber provides excellent insulation because it has the lowest thermal conductivity. It creates a breathing barrier which insulates from the outside world and carries sweat from the inside out.
Resistex® Carbon is a yarn by the unique technical characteristics, obtained by the union of textile bers with a continuo- us lament of conductive material based on active carbon. It is shown that Resistex® Carbon increases the ef ciency of technical sportswear increasing muscular performances of the athlete. The performance of the athlete, intended as the percentage of metabolic energy that the muscular system is able to transform into mechanical energy, remains constant and even tends to grow during the thirty minutes of effort wearing the shirt Resistex® Carbon. Resistex® Carbon prevent the discharge of electrical charges on the body, thus preventing muscle twitching, cramps, and fatigue.
Windtex (cap): Windtex is a heat regulating membrane that in addition to reject water and wind and it maintains the microclimate between skin and tissue, is light and elastic.
During winter sports, despite the surrounding low temperatures, the body temperature and as a result the production of heat increases. In order to keep body temperature within certain limits, heat is lost through perspiration.
At this point, clothing plays an important role: heat retention compromises physical activity if the fabric does not breathe. Windtex’s excellent breathing capacity as well as its heat retention protect the body’s microclimate.
